Product information built for design and specification work
The 1st Window Portal is a special service reserved for our trade partners, architects and planners. It brings the technical information for the Internorm product line into one place, so you can find what you need to place our windows and doors into your designs without waiting for files to be emailed.
For a design team, that matters at every stage. Early on, you need accurate frame dimensions to set out plans and elevations. During design development, you need sections and performance data to check thermal and comfort targets. At tender and construction, you need specification sheets, installation guides and test documentation that the builder can work from.
The drawings cover the complete Internorm product line, from uPVC and uPVC/aluminum windows such as the KF 410 to wood/aluminum windows, lift-slide doors and entrance doors.

One login for the whole Internorm range
The portal is Internorm’s partner platform, shown here at its login screen. Access goes to registered professionals, which keeps the drawings and technical documents in the hands of the people who specify and build with them.
Working from the manufacturer’s own files avoids a common problem on window projects: details copied from an old job or a generic library that do not match the system being bought. Drawing from the files for the exact system keeps frame depth, sash profile and installation detail consistent from your drawings through to the order.
If you cannot find something, or need a detail adapted to a particular wall assembly, ask us. Our product specialists have architectural backgrounds and can help interpret the documents for your project.
Details worth checking when you draw Internorm windows
European tilt & turn windows are drawn differently from the crank, double-hung or sliding units many North American details are based on. The portal drawings give you the exact profiles, but a few points are worth checking on every project, because they affect the design as well as the order.
Even one model varies. The uPVC KF 410 has a 90 mm construction depth and the uPVC/aluminum KF 410 has 93 mm, both with a profile width of 76 mm frame plus 36.5 mm sash. That is why it pays to draw from the files for the exact system you are specifying.
If a detail on your project departs from the standard drawings, for example a thick exterior insulation layer or an unusual sill, send it to us before tender so we can confirm the window and the installation approach together.
- Inward-opening sashes: allow clearance inside for window coverings, deep sills and furniture near the window
- Frame position in the wall: how the window sits relative to the insulation layer affects heat loss at the junction
- Air barrier connection: the joint between window and wall has to be airtight for the window to perform as tested
- Fixed and operable sections: decide which panes open, and keep sightlines consistent across an elevation
- Safety glass locations: doors, low windows and large panes may need toughened or laminated glass

Support that goes beyond downloads
Drawings answer most questions, but not all of them. InterHaus provides technical support for architects and builders throughout a project: reviewing window schedules, discussing glazing and hardware options, and helping with the connection between window and wall.
On site, our Supply & Supervision service puts our team alongside a third-party installer for a few days to guide handling, fitting and finishing. For your office, we offer a 60-minute PHI accredited Lunch & Learn on high-performance triple-pane window and door systems, at our showroom, at your office or online.
When your design is ready to price, send the schedule through our quote request. Passive House projects can get a quote within 72 hours.
For builders, the same team handles logistics. Products come through our Ontario warehouse and delivery is coordinated with your site, so the windows that were drawn and specified are the windows that arrive.
“My preferred window supplier for any of our projects with ambitious sustainability or indoor comfort goals. They have been easy to work with, and responsive when I need a problem solved. Internorm products have served me well, and these are the best, most reliable suppliers I have found in eastern Canada.”
