KS 430 uPVC Lift & Slide Door, All-uPVC Inside and Out
The all-uPVC KS 430 is a triple-glazed Internorm lift & slide door built from one non-porous material on both faces. It is white outside, white, anthracite grey or I-tec Decor inside, and its sashes of up to 400 kg lift, glide and settle back onto their seals.
One profile material from the living room to the garden
This page covers the KS 430 in its all-uPVC form: the same multi-chamber uPVC profile faces your room and the weather, with no cladding layer in between. Internorm extrudes it with robust 4 mm walls and reinforces the frame all the way round, giving a large, heavy sash the strength and longevity it needs.
Choosing one material keeps the specification short. There is no exterior colour to coordinate, no second surface to maintain, and nothing on the outside that will ever need sanding, staining or repainting. uPVC is non-porous, so moisture and grime stay on the surface and wash off, and it keeps its colour over the years.
It is a natural fit for houses that already have white windows and trim: replacing a builder-grade patio slider in a suburban family room, opening a bungalow kitchen onto a new deck, or adding a walk-out from a basement family room. If the elevation calls for a dark or coloured exterior, look at the KS 430 uPVC/Aluminum instead.

How the lift & slide mechanism works, step by step
What you do with the handle, and what the door does in response.

Turn the handle up
The hardware raises the whole panel clear of its gaskets and sets it down on barrel wheels in the bottom track. The seals are now free, so nothing rubs as the panel moves.
- 02
Push, then guide
A gentle push gets up to 400 kg of glass and uPVC rolling. Once it is moving, very little effort keeps it going, so nobody in the house has to lean their weight into it.

Park it part-open
Stop the sash wherever you like and turn the handle down: it locks at that point. A narrow opening ventilates the room on a warm night while the door stays secured.

Close and lower
Slide the sash home and turn the handle down. The panel drops onto its gaskets and its own weight presses them against the frame, which is what gives the closed door its airtight, weathertight seal.

Locked and resting
The concealed multi-point lock engages in the same movement, and the soft-close handle eases back rather than snapping. With the sash resting on its gaskets, the rollers are unloaded whenever the door is closed.

Triple glazing, 48 or 54 mm
Proper European triple panes in toughened ESG glass. If ESG is ever broken it crumbles into blunt-edged fragments, which matters on a door children run through.
Insulated fibreglass threshold
A highly insulating threshold made from glass fibre stiffens the bottom of the frame, seals tightly at floor level and can sit flush with your flooring for barrier-free passage.
PAS 24 and RC 2
The profile meets PAS 24 and Secured by Design requirements, with reinforced frames and concealed multi-point locking. Security up to RC 2 is available.
Comfort Drive
Motorised operation moves the sash at the push of a button, a real help on very wide doors or for anyone with limited grip strength.
Interior finishes

What a sealed uPVC door changes in an Ontario January
A patio door is usually the largest single opening in a wall, and an old one is often the leakiest. The all-uPVC KS 430 publishes a Uw as low as 0.64 W/m²K, inside the Passive House performance range, thanks to multi-chamber uPVC, triple seals and triple glazing working together.
Insulation figures only hold if the door stays airtight. Because the KS 430 closes by settling onto compressed gaskets rather than sliding past brush seals, and because its fibreglass threshold resists the movement of freeze–thaw cycles, cold air has far fewer paths into the room at the floor, the place where drafts are felt first.
The glass helps too. With the iPlus low-e coating InterHaus uses as standard, Internorm quotes around 21 °C on the room-side glass when it is −10 °C outside and 24 °C indoors, so the floor beside the door stays a usable part of the room.
Near a busy road or under a flight path, sound reduction of 33 to 43 dB, depending on glazing, keeps the room calm.
Planning the opening for an all-uPVC KS 430
Each KS 430 is made to measure, in elements up to 6500 × 2800 mm. It runs on dual tracks, one carrying the sliding sashes and one the stationary panels, and is offered with two, three or four sections.
For the same overall size, a two-section door is cheaper than a three- or four-section one and gives up nothing in energy performance. Where the opening allows it, fewer and larger sashes are usually the better use of budget; three and four sections earn their place on wider walls.
Inside and out, the frame can be overlapped by the surrounding wall finish so the profile reads thinner, and stationary panels can disappear behind render for a near-frameless look. KS 430 uPVC questions
No. The all-uPVC version is classic white on the outside. For black, bronze or any RAL colour, specify the KS 430 uPVC/Aluminum, which adds a powder-coated aluminum shell over the same uPVC door. The interior options are the same on both.
The frame profile is 80 mm wide. Internorm gives a frame-to-sash sightline of 169 mm and 173 mm where two sashes meet. Overlapping the frame with the wall finish inside and out makes it read slimmer still.
The KS 430 uses toughened ESG safety glass as standard. Under enough force it breaks into blunt-edged, loosely connected crumbs rather than sharp shards, which keeps the risk of injury low on a door used every day.
